Veteran actor Nana Patekar, in a recent interview, admitted that he finds Shah Rukh Khan “like his child”. While speaking highly of the Badshah of Bollywood, Patekar said both the actors express “immense love” whenever they meet each other. “Even today, he meets me with a lot of love. People forget, but he hasn’t forgotten. He seems like a child to me. For me, he’s still like a child. I am fond of him,” he said while talking to a media platform.
Patekar-SRK recent meet-up
Both Patekar and Khan won hearts with their on-screen chemistry in Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman. They recently met at the International Film Festival in Goa. Patekar added that people sometimes tend to forget the duo but “he didn’t forget”. He also expressed that the meeting with SRK made him feel as if no time had passed since their last collaboration, and as if it was just yesterday that they worked together.
Letter from Big B
Furthermore, the veteran actor discussed his stint with Amitabh Bachchan on the sets of Kohram. He recalled having extended conversations with Big B despite not having frequent meet-ups with him.
He also revealed about keeping a letter from Bachchan praising his work after he worked in the movie 26/11. He further revealed about the day when Big B came to him with a box of sweets celebrating his daughter’s birth.
Nana asked about the occasion, to which Amitabh humorously replied, “Nana ban gaya.” Nana then said, “We’ve known each other since childhood.” He also complimented Amitabh’s shirt, and to his surprise, found the same shirt hanging in his vanity van later that evening. It turned out Amitabh had gone home wearing a production shirt.
