In the wake of the tragic assassination of Baba Siddique, a prominent Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and former Maharashtra state minister, Bollywood star Salman Khan has been grappling with profound grief. The bond between the two was akin to brotherhood, and Siddique’s murder has left an irreplaceable void in Salman’s life.

Since the shocking event on October 12, when Siddique was shot dead by three assailants in Bandra East, Salman has found himself deeply affected. He shared the emotional turmoil he has experienced since losing his dear friend. “Baba was not just a close friend; he was family. We shared countless memories, and his absence feels unbearable,” Salman reflected.

The assassination has been further complicated by claims from notorious criminal Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang, which stated they targeted Siddique due to his connections with Salman. This revelation has added layers of anxiety and distress to an already painful situation. “Knowing that my friend’s life was taken for such reasons is heartbreaking. It makes you realize how dangerous our world can be,” Salman lamented.

Zeeshan Siddique, Baba’s son, has openly spoken about the support Salman has provided to his family during this devastating time. “Zeeshan is like a brother to me now. I’ve been trying to be there for him as much as possible. I check in on him, talk about everything and anything, trying to ease his pain,” Salman said, acknowledging the role he feels compelled to play in the aftermath of the tragedy.

The murder has also stirred memories of happier times, particularly the extravagant iftar parties Baba Siddique was known for, where he effortlessly brought together Bollywood’s biggest names. Salman recalled how Siddique played a pivotal role in reconciling him with Shah Rukh Khan, leading to their iconic hug in 2013. “Baba had a unique gift for uniting people. His ability to bring joy and connection to our lives is something I will always cherish,” Salman added.

As he navigates this painful chapter, Salman remains committed to honouring his friend’s legacy by standing by the Siddique family. “I will continue to support them, not just now but always. Baba may be gone, but his spirit will live on in all of us who loved him.”
