Bollywood actor Raveena Tandon recently shared that she feels uneasy when approached by strangers, especially when she is alone. The revelation came after an incident in London that left her feeling vulnerable. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Raveena clarified her reaction to the encounter and expressed regret over the situation.

Raveena’s Clarification

In a heartfelt post, Raveena explained that while walking alone in London, she was approached by a group of men who likely recognised her. Given her concerns over crime in the area and a previous unsettling experience in Bandra, she instinctively reacted by withdrawing from the situation. “I have heard not such great things about the crime situation here, so I withdrew a bit when they asked if I was who I am,” she wrote. Raveena admitted that her initial reaction was to say no and walk away quickly, despite the men seemingly being innocent fans asking for a picture.

The actor linked her heightened anxiety to a prior incident in Bandra, which left her feeling “nervous and traumatized.” She reflected on how this has impacted her comfort level when approached by strangers, particularly when she is not accompanied by others. “When I’m with people, I am okay, but alone, I still get a bit nervous these days,” she admitted.

Apology to Fans

Raveena expressed regret over the encounter, acknowledging that she might have offended the fans unintentionally. “I have felt really bad after this incident and would want to apologize to them through this medium if they are reading. It was not my intention to offend,” she stated. She added that she usually obliges fans’ requests for photos but panicked in this instance, prompting her to seek help from a security guard.

Hoping to make amends, Raveena concluded, “I try my best to be accessible and normal, but I fail at times. I’m really sorry. Hope I can meet you again and click a picture with you maybe.”

Upcoming Projects

On the professional front, Raveena Tandon is set to appear in Welcome To The Jungle (WTTJ), which also stars Akshay Kumar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Paresh Rawal, and others. The film marks Akshay Kumar’s return to the Welcome franchise after his absence from Welcome Back (2015). Notably, WTTJ reunites Raveena and Akshay on-screen after a 20-year gap, generating significant excitement among fans.
