Bigg Boss 14 ended with a bang on Sunday, Feb 21, as Rubina Dilaik was announced the winner of the season. While Rubina took the trophy and 36 lakhs home, Rakhi Sawant also bagged the opportunity to take home a whopping sum of Rs 16 lakhs. It was during the grand finale that Ritesh Deshmukh entered the house and offered the contestants to back out with 16 lakhs. Rakhi quickly pressed the buzzer and quit the show with the amount. She was quite satisfied with leaving the show and taking home the sum.
Now, after coming out of the controversial house, Rakhi Sawant spoke about her decision of opting out of the finale race. While speaking about choosing to enter BB 14, Rakhi revealed that she wanted to lift her career once again and get fame like before. Upon being asked what made her say yes to the Bigg Boss, Rakhi replied, “I was shooting for a series in Lucknow aur turant mujhe phone aaya. Maine series chodhke bhaagi Mumbai. Jahan Mujhe phele quarantine kiya. I told makers, agar main agar star banugi toh aapki hi series chalegi.”
Adding futher, Rakhi said, “Maine soch rakha tha iss baar mujhe jana hai, mera career mujhe uthana hai. Mujhe kuch banna hai. Yahan roti maangne se nahi yahan cheenini padti hai. Bas main gayi aur dhamaka kiya aur logon ka dil jeeta.”
Rakhi had earlier told ETimes, “I am very proud of my journey and I don’t regret anything. I don’t regret why I did not stay till the end and walked out with Rs 14 lakh. People are telling me that you should have stayed back, you could have emerged as a winner or could also become a runner-up, but I did not want to take a chance. My mother is expected to undergo surgery, I desperately need money, my bank balance has come to zero.”
