On the personal front, actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas is living her best life with her husband, Nick Jonas in their LA home. The lovebirds are enjoying their parenthood stage with their newborn baby, whom they’ve welcomed through surrogacy. It was on January 22, 2022, when Priyanka and Nick confirmed the arrival of their firstborn on their social media handles.
On April 12, 2022, Priyanka Chopra Jonas shared a post on her Instagram handle and shared candid throwback pictures from one of her nani’s birthdays. In one of the pictures, the 6-year-old Priyanka was seen sitting beside her Nani while her mom, Madhu, and cousin sat beside her. In another picture, baby Priyanka was seen giving her nani a piece of cake. Baby Priyanka Chopra looked sweet as a button in a purple-coloured top with a red skirt.
While sharing the pictures from her Nani’s birthday, Priyanka wrote a note in the caption, sharing gratitude for the strong maternal figures in her family. Priyanka Chopra also remembered how her Nani had grown when her parents emphasized their studies and medical careers. Her note can be read as:
“All of 6, celebrating my Nani’s (maternal grandmother) birthday. She helped raise me while my mom and dad balanced studying and a medical career. She was a hugely consistent part of my upbringing. I feel so lucky that I had so many strong maternal figures in my life. I’m so grateful for you all. Miss you always Nani. Also @chickyp85 looking most adorable as always! Previously, in an interview with the ETimes, Priyanka Chopra’s mother, Madhu Chopra had divulged that she had only seen her granddaughter on FaceTime. She had added that since Priyanka is in LA, she is controlling the baby on her own and is exceeding her motherly duties. She had stated:
“I haven’t seen her. I am here and she is in LA. We do Facetime once in a while. I think she is happy and joyous. This is all I can say for now. But maybe when I go and meet her in the middle of the year, I will be able to answer this better.”
