Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas found themselves facing an unexpected turn of events. The duo were forced to vacate their luxurious Los Angeles mansion, valued at $20 million. The couple had purchased the property in September 2019 after their extravagant wedding celebrations in 2018. The power couple had built their home in LA along with their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
Home Woes for Priyanka and Nick
According to recent reports by the Hindustan Times, the celebrity pair had to leave their home. The duo had to leave due to mold contamination resulting from water damage. This unfortunate situation has led to an ongoing legal battle that commenced in May 2023. The couple, accompanied by their daughter, has now moved into another property, leaving their mansion vacant. However, it remains unclear when they will be able to return, and according to Page Six, currently, no one is residing in the mansion, and it is not being rented out to anyone.
The troubles with Priyanka Chopra’s Los Angeles home began around April 2020 when problems surfaced in the pool and spa area. Issues such as “porous waterproofing” led to mold contamination and related problems. Simultaneously, a water leak occurred in the barbecue area on the deck, causing damage to a section of the interior living area just below the deck.
Priyanka And Nick’s Legal Battle
In response to these issues, a lawsuit was filed against the seller in May 2023. Priyanka and Nick experienced difficulties, and their complaints highlighted problems with the waterproofing, mold contamination, and water damage. The couple is seeking consequential damages from the seller in this ongoing legal dispute.
For those unfamiliar with Priyanka and Nick’s journey, the couple tied the knot in 2018 in lavish ceremonies at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace. They welcomed their first child, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas, in 2022 through surrogacy. The couple often shares glimpses of their family life on social media.
