Fawad Khan is a heartthrob superstar not just in Pakistan but also in India. The actor is hugely popular for his tv series Zindagi Gulzar hai in which he worked with his co-star Sanam Saeed. In India, Fawad starred in hit movies like a romantic comedy, Khoobsurat alongside Sonam Kapoor, Shakun Batra’s Kapoor & Sons, and Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.

However, in 2016 after the Uri attacks, the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association passed a resolution to ban Pakistani artists from working in Indian films. The All-Indian Cine Workers Association announced a total ban on Pakistani artists after the Pulwama terror attack in 2019.

But, now in one of his recent interviews, actor Fawad Khan has opened about missing Bollywood and the friends he made in the Industry. In a conversation with Anupama Chopra, when Fawad was asked if he misses Bollywood, he said, “I do. I made some great friends there, I still keep in touch with them. Yeah, I miss it. I miss Mumbai, it’s a beautiful city. In fact, in all the cities that I have been to, I have had a lovely experience.”

For those who don’t know, Fawad Khan will be back on screens with his Zindagi Gulzar Hai co-star Sanam Saeed. The duo is all set to work together after eight years for a Zindagi Digital series directed by Asim Abbasi. The show will stream in India on Zee5. Fans of the actors are excited to see them on screen together.

If reports are to be believed before the ban happened Fawad was already considered to play pivotal roles in big Bollywood films. There were reports that he would a prominent part of Sanjay Lelelea Bhansali’s Padmavat that later went to Shahid Kapoor. He was also supposed to do a film opposite Deepika Padukone.
