Actor Ankita Lokhande and her husband, Vicky Jain, have been making headlines following their stint on Bigg Boss 17. After the show, their co-contestant Sunny Arya, popularly known as Tehelka, shared a video tour of the couple’s luxurious Mumbai apartment, sparking considerable attention online.

Recently, an old interview clip of Ankita discussing her journey to buying her first home in Mumbai has gone viral. In the video, Ankita proudly talks about purchasing her first property, a 4BHK apartment in Malad. Speaking in Hindi, she said, “The first time I bought my own house, which is in Malad, and it’s a 4BHK. Buying that house felt great, especially at such a young age. When I used to think about renting, the rent was so high. I thought it’s better to just buy it, and that became my first home purchase. It feels good to have so much space in Mumbai.”

However, the video has triggered a wave of online comments, with many netizens reminding Ankita that the house was co-owned with her late boyfriend, actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The comments section quickly filled with claims disputing Ankita’s statement about owning the house independently.

One user wrote, “My own house…4BHK…Ghanta….That so-called house was not at all a 4BHK house but two separate 2BHK flats co-owned by Sushant. Half of which you have just looted.” Another commented, “That flat was co-owned by Sushant. He was also paying the EMIs. How much more lies will she tell? Selfish lady.”

Several users referred to reports by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) during investigations into Sushant’s finances, claiming that he was paying the EMI for the property. One user wrote, “ED had revealed that Sushant was paying the EMI for your house. Show us the records before 2019, not just after you started paying.”

Despite the criticism, Ankita has largely stayed focused on her personal and professional life. The actress rose to fame with her role in the popular TV series Pavitra Rishta, where she met Sushant Singh Rajput, with whom she had a six-year relationship. The couple parted ways in 2016, and Sushant tragically passed away in 2020.

Ankita is now married to businessman Vicky Jain, with whom she participated in Bigg Boss 17. She was last seen in the film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar alongside Randeep Hooda.
