Navya Naveli Nanda, the granddaughter of Bollywood icons Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, has taken a significant step in her academic journey by joining the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Ahmedabad. Navya, the daughter of Shweta Bachchan and businessman Nikhil Nanda, will be pursuing the two-year BPGP MBA program at the prestigious institution.
Navya shared her excitement about this new chapter on Instagram, where she posted several pictures from the IIM campus. “Dreams do come true! Home for the next two years… with the best people and faculty! BPGP MBA Class of 2026,” she wrote in her post. In the first image, she can be seen dressed in a black suit, standing proudly beside the IIM Ahmedabad sign.
Alongside the announcement, Navya also shared glimpses of her life at IIM, including photos of the lush green campus and the new friends she has made.
In one Instagram story, she posted a picture of herself cutting a cake, expressing gratitude to her teacher, Prasad, who helped her prepare for the rigorous CAT/IAT entrance exams.
Navya’s decision to pursue an MBA comes after her stint as a podcast host. She previously hosted “What The Hell Navya,” a podcast featuring discussions with her grandmother Jaya and mother Shweta on various topics, including feminism and the role of women in society.
Despite her illustrious family in Bollywood, Navya has made it clear that she has no interest in following the acting path. At an event in June, Shweta Bachchan stated, “Navya has her hands full with her work. Bollywood is not the way to go for her.” This was reiterated by Navya in an earlier interview with Hindustan Times, where she emphasized her desire to focus on business, aligning with her family’s business legacy.
As Navya embarks on this new journey at IIM Ahmedabad, she continues to carve her own path, blending her family’s legacy with her personal ambitions in the world of business.
