National award-winning actress Surekha Sikri has passed away at the age of 75 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The actor’s manager has confirmed the news to SpotBoye.com. He was quoted as saying, “Three-time national award-winning actress, Surekha Sikri has passed away following a cardiac arrest earlier this morning at the age of 75. She had been suffering from complications arising from a second brain stroke.”

Surekha Sikri made her debut win 1978 with Kissa Kursi Ka. She went on to star in many other popular films and television series. She became a household name after her role of “Dadisa” in Colors show “Balika Badhu”

Sikri has many accolades to her name. The actress won the National film award for the Best Supporting Actress for the movie “Badhaai Ho”. This was her third National film award. She was last seen in Zoya Akhtar’s “Ghost stories” that premiered on Netflix.
