Despite their divorce, Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan continue to co-parent their son, Arhaan Khan, effectively. In a recent interview with Hello Magazine, Malaika opened up about the challenges and successes of raising their son together.
Malaika shared insights on their co-parenting journey, emphasising the importance of maintaining balance. “For whatever it’s worth, touch wood; we’ve found a great balance now,” she said. She acknowledged the initial difficulties but stressed that their focus has always been on ensuring their issues never affect their child.
“We both knew that irrespective of everything else and what may have transpired between two adults, it should never reflect on a child, and we have figured out a very congenial way of co-parenting,” she added.
Raising an Independent Son
Malaika also spoke about her efforts to instill independence in Arhaan, both financially and emotionally. She highlighted the importance of her son recognising his privileges and learning self-reliance. “As a mother, I want my son to have respect for others and to do things without relying on others or the privileges he has,” she said. She emphasised that they have always encouraged Arhaan to achieve things on his own while knowing they are there for support. “No, you’ve got to do it on your own,” she asserted.
Malaika Arora’s Personal Life
Following her divorce from Arbaaz Khan, Malaika Arora had been in a relationship with Bollywood star Arjun Kapoor. However, recent reports from Pinkvilla indicate that the couple has parted ways, choosing to go their separate paths after several years together.
