‘Lawrence Bishnoi Tried To Kill Me’: Salman Khan Recounts Threats Received Amid Firing Incident

In a recent development in the firing case outside Salman Khan’s residence in Mumbai, the actor has recorded his statement with the police, highlighting threats to his family and himself from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Salman Khan’s statement has been included in the charge sheet filed by the police in connection with the shooting incident.

Salman Khan recorded his statement on June 4. In his statement, he expressed concern over threats to his life, stating, “I am a film actor by profession and have been working in the film industry for the last 35 years. On many occasions, a crowd of my well-wishers and fans gather near my home, Galaxy Apartment, in Bandra, Mumbai. I wave my hand from the balcony of the first floor of my flat to show my love to them. This happens on many occasions. Also, when there is a party at my house, friends and family, my father comes, I also spend time with him on the balcony. After work or early in the morning, I go to the balcony to get some fresh air. I have also hired private security for myself.”

He recounted an incident from 2022 when his father received a threatening letter, which was found on a bench outside their apartment building. Following this, Salman received an email in March 2023 from a team member, which also contained threats from Lawrence Bishnoi. The complaint regarding this email was lodged at Bandra Police Station.

Firing In Front Of His House

In January 2024, two individuals attempted to enter his farmhouse in Panvel using fake names and identity cards. The Panvel police registered a case against them, and it was discovered that these individuals were from Fazilka village in Rajasthan, the same village as Lawrence Bishnoi.

Salman Khan stated, “I have asked all the people with me, my relatives, and family members to always remain alert. I have been given Y-plus security by Mumbai Police. Trained policemen, bodyguards, and private security guards stay with me for my security cover.”

Detailing the April 14 incident, Salman said, “I was sleeping when I heard a sound like firecrackers. It was 4:55 in the morning when the bodyguard told me that two people on a bike had fired a gun at the balcony of the first floor of Galaxy Apartment. Before this, an attempt had been made to harm me and my family. I have come to know that Lawrence Bishnoi has taken responsibility for this attack through social media.”

Salman Khan Work Front

His bodyguard filed an FIR with the Bandra Police, and in his statement, Salman mentioned that Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence’s brother, claimed responsibility for the attack on Facebook. Salman concluded, “Earlier, Lawrence Bishnoi and his gang had talked in an interview about killing me and my family. So I believe that Lawrence Bishnoi, with the help of his gang associates, carried out this firing while my family members were sleeping.”

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently busy with his next film, Sikandar, directed by AR Muruguadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
