It came as shocking news yesterday that Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actress Divya Bhatnagar lost her battle with Covid-19 yesterday. She was diagnosed with Corinavirus and had been battling her battle for some time. However, her health kept deteriorating and she finally lost it. She had some health complications and was not able to cope with her same. Her family admitted her to the hospital and as her health kept deteriorating, the doctors kept her on a ventilator. Her body also suffered from pneumonia which led to cardiac arrest. On December 7th at 3am, she lost her battle and left for the heavenly abode.
While everyone is still shock and mourning the loss of the actress, her brother has come forward to make a rather heartbreaking revelation about her life. He revealed that the actress was not happy in her marriage with Gagan as he would physically and mentally abuse her. They were even thinking of filing a case against him for domestic abuse but had left it for later due to the actress’s health complications. Talking about the same, Divya Bhatnagar’s broth Devashish said,
“Gagan started torturing Divya physically and mentally soon after their marriage. She had written a note on November 7, in which she had stated that Gagan tortures and abuses her. We found the note in her cupboard yesterday. She had also approached the police and filed an NC on November 16 against him, following an episode of domestic abuse. I had told her to stay strong when I got to talk to her during her hospitalisation.”
About his sister and the loss that the family has underwent, he said, “We were hoping that she would recover. My mother is heartbroken. I have to stay strong for her. This is a very difficult time for us and the pain is unbearable.”
