In a heartwarming turn of events, Bollywood actor Govinda and his nephew, comedian Krushna Abhishek, have officially reconciled, ending a feud that has spanned several years. The reconciliation follows an incident earlier this month in which Govinda sustained an injury after accidentally misfiring a gun, leading to his hospitalisation. In a recent interview with E Times, Krushna shared details about their first meeting at Govinda’s home in seven years, which took place after he returned from an Australia tour.

Krushna, whose wife Kashmera Shah visited Govinda in the hospital, expressed his regret for not being able to see his uncle sooner. Upon his return to India, he felt compelled to check on Govinda, describing the experience as feeling like he had completed “half a vanvaas (exile).” He was particularly emotional about reconnecting with Govinda’s daughter, Tina Ahuja, stating, “I just hugged her.”

The reunion, Krushna revealed, was filled with laughter and nostalgia as the pair reminisced about their shared past. Reflecting on their earlier days, Krushna recalled living with Govinda’s family as he launched his career. However, the two steered clear of discussing past disagreements, with Krushna noting, “Sab gile shikve door ho gaye hain (All grudges have been put aside).”

Despite the positive atmosphere, Krushna admitted to feeling apprehensive about facing Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, who was busy during his visit. He humorously acknowledged, “I knew she would scold me,” highlighting the familial dynamics at play.

The long-standing tension between Govinda and Krushna stemmed from the actor’s dissatisfaction with jokes made by Krushna about his characters on television. This strain was further complicated by Sunita’s distancing from Krushna’s family. However, the ice began to thaw during Krushna’s sister, Arti Singh’s wedding in April, when both families began to reconnect.

Krushna expressed his hope for a brighter future in their relationship, stating, “I’m glad we’ve finally buried the hatchet and moved on. Now I’ll keep visiting, and I’ll also meet mami (aunt).” He reassured fans that Govinda is recovering well, now able to move around with the assistance of crutches.

The recent reconciliation marks a significant milestone in their family dynamic, fostering a renewed sense of unity and support as they move forward.
