Katrina has spoken out frequently about her feelings for Vicky and his Punjabi family since she wed him. This time, she talked about the first time she ever saw her husband and the emotion of being married to him in a recent media interview.
In a recent interview with The Indian Express, Katrina Kaif discussed her wedding day and claimed that Vicky Kaushal’s family and friends were delighted to see her there. She described her relationship with Vicky as an unexpected turn of events and added: “It felt exactly how you described it. It felt like it was a culmination of a beautiful journey, which was super unexpected for me. It just came out of nowhere. It literally did.”
During the same talk, Katrina recalled the first time in her life that she had laid eyes on Vicky. Vicky was developing as an actor at the time, moving from films like Masaan and Raman Raghav 2.0 to blockbusters like Raazi, Lust Stories, and Sanju. The actress first discovered Manmarziyaan, a love drama by Anurag Kashyap, in 2018. She was blown away by his performance in the trailer, and she immediately questioned, “Who is this guy? ”. According to Katrina, “I remember (producer) Aanand L Rai showing me a promo of Manmarziyaan and I was like, ‘Who is this guy?!’ At that point I just found it… Wow! He was so effortless and raw. He has that talent.”
When Katrina Kaif made the decision to spend the rest of her life with Vicky Kaushal three years later, there was no space for misunderstanding. She was genuinely in love with the actor, and their wedding brought joy to the entire Kaif and Kaushal family. Speaking of the same, she clarified: “The entire celebration, the three-day long ceremony of our marriage was filled with that much love, warmth and we could also feel everyone’s happiness. I could feel everyone was happy and that people’s wishes were with us.”
