In a recent interview, Kareena Kapoor Khan spoke candidly about her choices in life and how she juggles her career and family obligations. Kareena Kapoor Khan, a diva and actress from Bollywood, has consistently defied expectations through her choices in life. Kareena has played some iconic roles over the course of her more than 20-year acting career, including Get from Jab We Met, Pooh from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and Tina from Mujhse Dosti Karoge, among others. Fans are thrilled that she is returning with the fourth season of her chat programme, What Women Want.
Despite the fact that Kareena Kapoor’s recent performances haven’t won over many fans, she has managed to maintain her status as the quintessential Bollywood star. The actress discussed this in an interview with Bombay Times and said that what makes her unique is her honesty towards her job and those she cares about. Mentioning that she is extremely passionate about whatever she does, Kareena added:
“I think, most importantly, I am honest to my work, to myself, my loved ones and I am honest to the characters that I portray on screen. Somehow, I feel that when we are not being true to our profession and are doing things for the sake of it, people can tell. So, for me it is always like that – whether I am talking to someone, whether I love someone, or I am performing on screen, I do it all very passionately. So, I think that somehow does set me apart, because I am extremely passionate about whatever I do.”
In a later question in the interview, Kareena was asked if she felt that the box office results for her movies no longer mattered. Bebo revealed in response to the same that she never selects anything in life because she is in competition with anyone else. Talking about how she got married when marriage was prohibited for young actors, the actress revealed that she does the things she believes in. In her words:
“The box office will always matter, but obviously, I am not competing with anyone. I am in a happy space because I have always chosen to do what I want to do, and I am lucky with that. When I wanted to get married, I did, and it was when no actress was getting married. Today, so many actresses are getting married! It is suddenly cool to be married and working. Earlier, it was about not having children. Then suddenly, it was like…okay you can have a child as well and still be working. I have always done things that I love and believe in.”
