“Devara: Part 1,” the highly anticipated action drama starring Jr NTR, Janhvi Kapoor, and Saif Ali Khan, is gearing up for its grand theatrical debut. Ahead of the film’s release, the makers hosted an official trailer launch event in Mumbai on Tuesday, generating excitement among fans and critics alike.
At the event, Saif Ali Khan shared his thoughts on making his Telugu film debut in “Devara.” Reflecting on his experience working with Jr NTR, Saif expressed admiration for his co-star’s personality both on and off-screen. In a conversation reported by News18, Saif described Jr NTR, fondly known as Tarak, as “a very easy-going person who wears his stardom lightly, which I like.”
He elaborated on their instant rapport, recalling how Jr NTR made him feel comfortable from the outset. “On the first day, he came to my van while I was waiting for a shot. We shared a good, lovely laugh,” Saif remarked.
The Bollywood actor went on to praise Jr NTR for his warm hospitality, adding that the Telugu superstar even invited him over for a home-cooked meal.
“He’s one of the most hospitable people I’ve worked with. He invited me to his home and offered to cook food. He’s a really down-to-earth guy,” Saif added.
Highlighting Jr NTR’s contrasting off-screen and on-screen personas, Saif noted, “On set, he becomes larger-than-life in front of the camera, which is a great star quality. After the cut, he goes back to being his usual, fun-loving self. It’s been such a pleasure working with him.”
Jr NTR also shared his enthusiasm for the film’s release. In a statement quoted by India Today, the actor teased the climax of “Devara” and promised an electrifying finale. “I think the last half hour or 40 minutes is going to rock you all,” Jr NTR said, building anticipation for the film’s action-packed conclusion.
Directed by Koratala Siva and produced under the banners of Yuvasudha Arts and NTR Arts, “Devara: Part 1” boasts a stellar supporting cast, including Prakash Raj, Srikanth, and Shine Tom Chacko. The film is set to hit theatres on September 27, 2024.
