After the elimination of wild card contestant Shardul Pandit, Jaan Kumar Sanu has been evicted from Bigg Boss last Sunday. After getting out of the controversial house, Jaan talked about several things including his fight with fellow housemate Rahul Vaidya. While talking about his bind with father Kumar Sanu, Jaan shared that his father never supported him as a singer. Jaan also spoke about his father being absent from his life, and how his mother Rita Bhattacharya single-handedly raised him. Now, after hearing so much from Jaan in all the interviews, his father Kumar Sanu has stated that Jaan should consider changing his name and should use his mother Rita Bhattacharya’s name instead.

While speaking to Times Of India, Kumar Sanu said, “I appreciate his respect for his mom, and I believe in giving even more respect to his mother. He should write his name as Jaan Rita Bhattacharya, not Jaan Kumar Sanu because, firstly, Ritaji has done a lot for him, and secondly, people will start comparing him with me, which is not good for him as a newcomer,” he said.

Earlier, while speaking about his equation with his father Kumar Sanu, Jaan told TOI, “We are three brothers and have been single-handedly brought up by my mother, Rita Bhattacharya. My father has never been a part of my life. I have no idea why he never supported or promoted me as a singer – you can ask him why.”

Talking about his parents’ divorced unlike his parents many couples do take care of their kids despite parting ways, he continues, “There are so many celebs in the industry, who have got divorced and remarried. They may not talk to their ex-wife, but they have never shied away from supporting their children from their first marriage. They have always taken responsibility for their children. But, in my case, my father Kumar Sanu refused to keep in touch with us.”
