Triptii Dimri, who shot to fame after starring in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal alongside Ranbir Kapoor, has opened up about the challenges of coping with the spotlight. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the rising star revealed her mixed emotions about fame, particularly how it has impacted her sense of personal freedom.
Dimri candidly shared how her growing popularity has brought changes to her daily life. Recalling a moment before Animal’s release, she said, “I went to buy vegetables… It’s interesting because as an actor, this is the day you always look forward to—gaining fame. But I love my freedom too. I love going for long walks, chilling with friends without any worries. Now, things have changed. I’m not free anymore. The sense of freedom has gone away.”
The actor further elaborated on how her newfound fame has limited her once-relaxed lifestyle. “I used to spend a lot of time walking on Carter Road, eating out, enjoying life. Now, I have to be more cautious. That’s the part I miss the most. But apart from that, everything seems great,” she added.
Despite the challenges, Dimri acknowledges the bright side of her growing career. However, she stressed the importance of taking breaks from the industry’s hectic pace. She admitted that stepping away from the public eye occasionally is necessary to maintain her mental balance.
Triptii’s performance in Animal earned her widespread recognition. The film, which was one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of the year, follows the story of Rannvijay Singh (Ranbir Kapoor) as he seeks revenge after an assassination attempt on his father, Balbir Singh, played by Anil Kapoor.
Post-Animal, Dimri was last seen in Bad Newz alongside Vicky Kaushal. She has several exciting projects lined up, including Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video with Rajkummar Rao and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 with Kartik Aaryan.
While Triptii Dimri’s rise to stardom continues to accelerate, her reflections highlight the personal sacrifices that come with fame. Despite missing her once-carefree lifestyle, she is embracing the next chapter of her career with a positive outlook.
