Boney Kapoor’s Bold Move
Janhvi recounted a particularly amusing incident from the past. Boney Kapoor once jumped out of a hotel window to impress Sridevi. Janhvi said, “Dad jumped out of a hotel window when he was visiting Mom. She started laughing, and he said, ‘That’s when I knew she was hooked.’” This playful moment highlighted the lengths Boney went to woo Sridevi.
Reminiscing About Old Times
Janhvi also shared how her father often reminisces about the past. “Every night, after 10 pm, when music channels start playing old songs, Papa looks at me and says, ‘You know, your mom and I…’ It’s his favorite thing to do,” she mentioned. Boney and Sridevi’s love story began when Boney wanted to cast her in “Mr. India.” Despite being married to Mona Shourie Kapoor at the time, Boney fell in love with Sridevi. Their relationship led to the end of his first marriage. Boney and Sridevi were together for almost 22 years until her untimely death in 2018.
Upcoming Projects for Janhvi
Janhvi’s new film, “Mr. & Mrs. Mahi,” tells the story of Mahendra, a failed cricketer, and Mahima, a doctor, who come together through an arranged marriage. Directed by Sharan Sharma and produced by Zee Studios and Dharma Productions, the film is set for release on May 31.
