The marital discord between actress Dalljiet Kaur and her husband Nikhil Patel has become a hot topic of discussion, as both parties have taken their grievances to the public. Nikhil Patel recently accused Dalljiet of verbal abuse during an interview with Pinkvilla, claiming that despite his attempts to mend their relationship, she subjected him to harsh treatment.
In response, Dalljiet took to Instagram to address the allegations, expressing her disappointment over Nikhil’s characterisation of their marriage as merely an “event.” In her post, she wrote, “You had three days in India after knowing about the FIR. If what you’ve printed is true, you would have gone to the police station and told your side instead of running away and using PR. Your PR stories won’t give me justice. You deserve to be punished.”
She further criticised Nikhil for allegedly seeking publicity, adding, “Calling our wedding an event is shameful. In India, it’s called MARRIAGE. Why did you flee from my country? If your story is true, you should have faced the cops and told them directly. See if they would have believed it.”
Nikhil responded with a lengthy social media post, detailing their relationship. He stated that they met in Dubai in 2022 and held a Hindu ceremony in March 2023 in Mumbai. He emphasized that the ceremony was not a legal marriage, accusing Dalljiet of misleading the public to support her portrayal as a victim. Nikhil also described his support for her career efforts in India, despite their lack of success.
He voiced his frustration over Dalljiet’s decision to withdraw their son, Jaydon, from his school in Nairobi and return to India in January 2024. Nikhil claimed that Dalljiet has had no contact with his daughter and accused her of cyber harassment, alleging that her actions have caused distress to him and other women in his life, some of whom have sought legal action.
As their dispute continues to play out on social media, it remains uncertain how the situation will be resolved.
