Vicky Kaushal has been charming audiences with his dance moves in his latest hit song, “Tauba Tauba,” and his wife, actress Katrina Kaif, is among those impressed. In an interview with Film Companion, Kaushal expressed his relief at receiving her approval.
Kaushal shared Katrina’s reaction to the song, saying, “The biggest relief was when she approved of the song. She was like, ‘This is good.’ And I was like, ‘Shukr hai’ (heaving a sigh of relief).”
He elaborated on why her approval meant so much, explaining, “She keeps telling me, ‘I know you love to dance. But you are a baraati dancer, not a trained one.’ That’s because I get carried away, and she tells me that’s fine in real life, but I need to preserve the energy for the camera.”
Kaushal noted that this time, Katrina was pleased because he maintained a controlled performance. “She was happy because I held it back regarding expression, moves, and attitude. She said the dancing was good and was happier that I kept it cool,” he added.
Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, who dated for some time, tied the knot on December 9, 2021, at Six Senses Resort, Fort Barwara, in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan.
Looking ahead, Kaushal will star in “Bad Newz,” a quirky film that humorously explores heteropaternal superfecundation, diverging from typical rom-com tropes. The film also features Ammy Virk, Triptii Dimri, and Neha Dhupia, and is directed by Anand Tiwari. Co-produced by Tiwari, Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Amritpal Singh Bindra, “Bad Newz” is set to release in theatres on July 19.
Meanwhile, Katrina Kaif was last seen in Sriram Raghavan’s film “Merry Christmas” opposite Vijay Sethupathi. She is also slated to appear in Farhan Akhtar’s upcoming film “Jee Le Zara,” alongside Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.
