Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai leads Mohsin Khan and Shivangi Joshi’s love for each other is not limited to the small screen and, by now, we all know it for a fact, since the duo is dating in real life. Initially, they didn’t entertain any questions about their relationship; however, of late, things have changed.

In an interview, Mohsin Khan had talked about his relationship with Shivangi Joshi. He was seen saying, “Several theories have been doing the rounds, including our link-up, but we didn’t allow it to affect our friendship or work. In fact, there was nothing to talk about initially, since we were just friends. Our friendship graduated to love only recently; it’s just been a month-and-a-half. We rang in the New Year with my family. Funnily, we haven’t gone out on an official date yet, owing to our erratic schedule.”

On being asked about what kind of a girl he wants to date/marry, Mohsin Khan explained, “If I ever date a girl, I want it to be the forever-kind. I am very romantic that way. Someday, when I finally get married, no one will be more excited than my Ammi. So, if any girl is up for the challenge of dating me my Ammi must approve.” Mohsin further added, “I have always been a shy kid right from my school days. I was very introverted. However, after I started working as an actor, I have changed a bit. We have a school reunion coming up and I can’t wait to meet all my teachers and old friends who knew me as the shy, quiet and disciplined child.”

Mohsin had stated, “I have no problems with her. It’s been four years of us working together and I find her a thorough professional.” He had remarked, “I haven’t really thought about it. I guess it’s her innocence. We are still exploring each other. It has been a long friendship and a beautiful journey, which has now blossomed into love.”

Shivangi and Mohsin’s show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai recently completed nine years. With this, it has joined the likes of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki – two of the longest-running daily soap operas on Indian TV. The duo’s serial started off with Shivangi’s on-screen parents Naitik (Karan Mehra) and Akshara’s (Hina Khan) love story. It’s only since a year ago, when the show took a leap, has the focus shifted to Kartik and Naira (Mohsin and Shivangi).
