Bollywood star Alia Bhatt, currently preparing for the release of her action drama Jigra, recently revealed in an interview with Allure magazine that she has Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), a form of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The actress candidly discussed how her condition affects various aspects of her life, including her approach to work and personal routines.

During the interview, Bhatt explained how ADD shapes her perspective on time management, particularly when it comes to tasks like getting her makeup done. “It needs to be something that you can do very quickly. I have ADD and don’t have interest in investing too much time. Whatever needs to happen needs to happen fast,” she told Allure. Bhatt shared that she limits her time in the makeup chair to no more than 45 minutes, a rule she strictly follows.

The actress also recounted how her attention span played a role even on her wedding day. Bhatt, who married her Brahmastra co-star Ranbir Kapoor in an intimate ceremony at their Mumbai home in April 2022, told her makeup artist Puneet B Saini, “Especially on my wedding day, I’m not giving you two hours because I want to chill.” Despite the special occasion, Bhatt was adamant about keeping the preparations short, sticking to her usual routine.

Bhatt and Kapoor’s wedding was a private affair, attended by close family members and friends. The couple had been dating for over five years before tying the knot. Later in 2022, Bhatt and Kapoor welcomed their first child, a daughter, born on November 6.

On the professional front, Bhatt has had a busy year. She made her Hollywood debut alongside Gal Gadot in Heart of Stone, and also starred in Karan Johar’s blockbuster Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani, where she shared the screen with Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi. Her performance earned her the Best Actress award at the 69th National Film Awards in Delhi last year.

Bhatt’s upcoming project, Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala, features actor Vedang Raina and promises to showcase her in a new action-packed role. Fans are eagerly awaiting its release.
