During the pandemic, we saw several celebrities going above and beyond in every possible way to help those in need. From Sonu Sood to Huma Qureshi, several actors came forward to strengthen the fight against COVID 19. The latest to join the brigade is actress Pooja Hegde. She recently announced the launch of her foundation, ‘All About Love’, an initiative for social welfare. Upon being asked to share some more details about this venture, the actress said, “All About Love is just a small way of giving back to the society. I am extremely grateful to the people for putting me in a position where I can make a difference to someone’s life today.”
She further commented, “It is a gift I don’t take for granted. I hope to inculcate a culture of giving back to society in whatever way possible, big or small. I have always believed that the most powerful emotion is love and that any service done with love will go a long way in hanging the world we live in.” Pooja has always been actively engaged in community service. Before announcing the launch of her foundation, she took upon herself to bear the medical expenses of children who had been diagnosed with cancer. She also took up the responsibility of looking after a family whose sole bread earner had slipped into come due to an accident. Through her foundation, she collaborated with a hospital in Mangalore, where children with artificial limbs were undergoing treatment. The lock down severely impacted the lives of informal workers and daily wage laborers. Pooja came forward to help them, by providing ration to at least 100 such affected families, for one month.
On the professional front, the actor has several films in the pipeline. The actor will be seen opposite Ranveer Singh in Cirkus. Her film with Prabhas titled, Radhe Shyam, and her pan India project with Salman Khan, are being touted as one of the biggest releases of all time. She also has several regional films in her kitty, such as Acharyaa, Beat and Most Eligible Bachelor.
