‘Laapataa Ladies’ Fame Nitanshi Goel Gets Emotional After Beating Alia And Katrina, Win IIFA Best Actress: See Here!

‘Laapataa Ladies’ actress Nitanshi Goel recently won the Best Actress Award at the IIFA  Awards 2025 and became the youngest actress ever to win this honour. She began her career as a child model, appearing in many shows and ads before entering Bollywood. In 2015, she also won the title of Miss Pantaloons Junior Fashion Icon.

Nitanshi Goel became the youngest actress to win an IIFA Award

Fans were excited to see who would win the best actor or actress award. The best actress category at the IIFA Awards 2025 featured four popular female stars. However, 17-year-old newcomer Nitanshi Goel stood out and won the award thanks to her strong performance in the film Laapataa Ladies. She played the character ‘Phool Kumari’ in the movie, directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan.

Nitanshi Goel gets emotional as she receives her award for best actress 

Nitanshi Goes felt a rush of emotions when she accepted her award for her outstanding role as ‘Phool Kumari’ in Laapataa Ladies. Veteran actors Boman Irani and Bobby Deol presented her with the award. Nitanshi wore a beautiful ruby red gown for the event. The 17-year-old actress won against Alia Bhatt for Jigra, Katrina Kaif for Merry Christmas, Yami Gautam for Article 370, and Shraddha Kapoor for Stree 2 to receive her first major acting award. She stated:

“I wasn’t expecting this. I was hoping Laapataa Ladies would win big, but I didn’t think I would win myself. The other nominees were incredible, and I’m a huge fan of all of them. I’m truly overwhelmed by the love I’ve received.”

When asked about winning the big award, the actress said she felt very grateful. Nitanshi couldn’t hold back her tears. The first thing she did was cry and try to write an acceptance speech. She also hugged her mother, Rashi Goel, and director, Kiran Rao. She said: “It’s become a thing now. Honestly, I couldn’t stop crying because winning this award is a dream come true for every actor, and it’s finally come true for me. I’m just so grateful. The first thing I did was cry and try to put together a speech because I couldn’t believe it was happening. Then I gave my mom a big hug, and a huge hug to Kiran ma’am. It was all just happy tears.”

Nitanshi Goel reveals about her future projects

In a recent conversation, Nitanshi Goel expressed her excitement about collaborating with more stars. She mentioned that there are several celebrities she would love to share the screen with. At the top of her list is Shah Rukh Khan, followed by Kartik Aaryan. “There are so many people on my list, but Shah Rukh sir tops the chart, followed by Kartik Aaryan. It would be amazing to work with any of them.”
