Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan and interior designer Sussanne Khan ended their 14-year marriage in 2014, but the former couple has maintained an amicable relationship, continuing to co-parent their two sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan. Recently, Sussanne’s brother, actor Zayed Khan, shared insights into their separation and praised Hrithik’s current girlfriend, Saba Azad, calling her a “wonderful lady.”

In a candid interview, Zayed addressed the reasons behind the couple’s split, attributing it to “distractions.” However, he emphasised that family, children, and responsibilities have always been the central focus for both Hrithik and Sussanne. “We are a very open-minded family,” Zayed remarked, noting that as long as mutual respect remains intact, they prioritize happiness over dwelling on past issues.

The 48-year-old actor revealed that, despite their separation, neither Hrithik nor Sussanne speak ill of each other. Zayed stressed that the family values honesty and mutual understanding. “Certain things are going to be the way they are. In such situations, we can either be happy or sad. We choose happiness,” he said.

Zayed also shared his deep admiration for Hrithik, calling him a “gem of a guy with a heart of gold.” He extended his praise to Hrithik’s girlfriend, Saba Azad, and Sussanne’s partner, Arslan Goni, referring to both as “wonderful people.” “What the hell, life goes on,” Zayed added lightheartedly.

In addition to his reflections on Hrithik and Sussanne’s relationship, Zayed spoke about his close bond with his sister, Sussanne, describing them as being “almost like twins.” Despite a few years’ difference in age, the two share a strong connection. Zayed praised Sussanne’s talent and resilience, calling her the “Philippe Starck of India” and highlighting her strength, confidence, and creativity. “She’s not just a lovely sister, but also a tigress,” he said proudly.

Hrithik and Sussanne, who married in 2000, parted ways in 2013 and finalized their divorce in 2014. Despite the end of their marriage, they have continued to co-parent their sons, ensuring that their family remains a priority.
