Television actress Dalljiet Kaur has publicly criticised her estranged husband, Nikhil Patel, for flaunting his new relationship on social media despite their unresolved marital status. In a series of Instagram stories, Kaur slammed Patel over his alleged engagement to his girlfriend, Safeena. The posts, which include images and long captions, reveal Kaur’s frustration with Patel’s actions while they are still legally married under Indian law.

Kaur shared a photo of Patel’s hand wearing a ring and sarcastically congratulated the couple, writing, “Congrats SN, must applaud the audacity to splash it again on social media. Well done both of you. Already wearing a ring again, Nikhil. Well done.” She criticized Patel for seemingly ignoring their unresolved marital situation, hinting at the legal consequences he might soon face.

In another post, Kaur addressed Patel’s girlfriend Safeena directly, suggesting that both were seeking attention through their relationship. “Nikhil, your would-be wife seems to be in the same boat of wanting attention. She does know you technically still have a wife in Mumbai, whether or not you accept it. Indian justice will tell you your marital status soon,” Kaur wrote, alluding to their ongoing legal battle.

Kaur also expressed her dismay at Patel’s decision to wear a ring on his wedding finger, despite their separation not being legally finalized. She wrote, “Knowing you, you will say it was there as jewelry or you just chose to wear it… But why wear it on the wedding finger? And then make sure it is seen on your Instagram Stories? You are anything but naive.”

The fallout between Kaur and Patel has been contentious. On August 2, Kaur filed an FIR at the Agripada police station in Mumbai, accusing Patel of cruelty and criminal breach of trust. That same day, Patel was spotted at the Mumbai airport with Safeena, further fueling speculation about their relationship.

The couple, who married in March 2023, had relocated to Kenya after their wedding. However, Kaur returned to India in February with their son Jaydon. Their social media activity, including unfollowing each other and deleting posts, sparked rumors of their split. Kaur later hinted at marital issues, including alleged infidelity, and their separation was confirmed by Patel in an interview.

The legal battle between the former couple continues, with Kaur recently securing a stay order to prevent Patel from evicting her and her son from their home in Kenya.
