On April 14, 2022, the new bride, Alia Bhatt had shared a series of pictures from her white wedding with her husband, Ranbir Kapoor. In the pictures, the newlyweds were seen twinning in white ensembles. Alia Bhatt had picked out an ivory-hued saree from the designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, and had accessorised her look with a heavy choker necklace, matching earrings, and a mathapatti. While sharing the pictures, Alia had written:

In a chat with India Today, Alia Bhatt’s brother, Rahul Bhatt revealed that the madly-in-love couple took 4 pheras instead of 7 at their wedding. He also spoke about the importance of it and shared that they had a special pandit, who has been associated with the Kapoors for a long time. Saying that he was sitting with Alia and Ranbir when the pheras took place and stated:
“So he explained the significance of each phera. Ek hota hain dharm ke liye, ek hota hain santaan ke liye, so it was really fascinating. We have not been exposed to this. I come from a household of multiple ethnicities. So, that was fascinating. There were not 7 pheras but 4 pheras for the record. And I was during all the 4 pheras.”
After a long wait and curiosity, a romantic video from Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding went viral on social media. The footage showed the couple taking pheras in the presence of their loved ones. The whole area at the RK’s Vastu home was decorated with yellow sparkling lights, and the moment had looked quite romantic at that time.
