Recently the Badlapur actress Yami Gautam had got married to the Uri director at an intimate wedding in Himachal. Ever since the news of her wedding came out netizens went all crazy and started wishing the couple immediately. The pictures of the couple’s nuptial ceremonies looked straight from any fairy tale wedding as both the bride and the groom looked stunning.
Most of the actresses after their wedding have lovingly changed their names either by changing the surname or by adding their partner’s name to their full name. Yami is no different and after her wedding, she took to Twitter and Instagram handle and changed her name to Yami Gautam Dhar.
The diva also shared a poster of her upcoming movie, Bhoot Police on her social media pages and that’s when her changed name too reflected. However, the reason is still unknown as to what the actress switch her name from Yami Gautam to Yami Gautam Dhar.
Before Yami actresses like Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kareena Kapoor Khan too has changed their names likewise. In an interview with a publication, Yami Gautam had opened about the preparations that went behind the wedding which took place on June 4. “The more I attended big weddings, I knew I didn’t want that. Of course, we don’t know the meaning of marriage early on, but going by my understanding and experience of attending weddings, I was sure about what I didn’t want. I am fortunate that both Aditya and I shared this thought,” she said.
Yami continued further and said, “We both are averse to the wastage that happens in weddings — food, flower decorations and so many other things. Also, it’s so difficult to make everyone happy, so why not get married among those who actually care about you. The focus was solely on the ceremony and not us trying to please anyone,” she added.
