Kareena Kapoor and Bipasha Basu have been competitors in Bollywood since their roles in Ajnabee. From slamming one other in front of the media to calling each other names, the duo has become pretty renowned for it all! In an old interview, Kareena Kapoor told that Bipasha doesn’t have confidence in her own talent. She alleged that in one of Bipasha’s four-page interviews, she talked about herself for three pages and doesn’t talk about her own work.
Kareena then also revealed that during the shoot of Ajnabee, the two actresses fought over a stylist. “Her claim to fame, I believe, is that she argued with me during Ajnabee over the clothing designer Vikram Phadnis. She made remarks that I referred to as derogatory. That’s only a figment of her imagination.”
Kareena and Bipasha’s spat began after Bipasha allegedly borrowed Kareena’s stylist without alerting her during Ajnabee’s shoot, which apparently irritated the latter. Kareena and Bipasha have not spoken about each other since, including on the talk programme Koffee With Karan. On an earlier episode of Koffee With Karan season 2, Kareena labelled Bipasha’s boyfriend at the time, John Abraham, “expressionless.” Bipasha appears to have conquered everything and has appeared in films such as Race 2 (2013) and Nehlle Pe Dehlla (2007) alongside Kareena Kapoor’s now-husband, actor Saif Ali Khan.
In 2000, Kareena made her acting debut alongside Abhishek Bachchan in JP Dutta’s Refugee, while Bipasha, who was formerly a model, made her acting debut with Ajnabee. Abbas-Mustan directed the thriller, which also starred Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol.
