Times when Neha Kakkar was no one but a participant trying to pursue her dreams via reality show. Nevertheless, the singer is doing quite well in her career. The singer is now in a panel of judges in an Indian Idol show along with other judges, Vishal Dadlani and Himesh Reshammiya.
An old video that is making rounds on the internet is a video clip of Indian Idol auditions. The show used to have Anu Malik, Farah Khan, and Sonu Nigam as judges. The video from one of the auditions illustrates Neha Kakkar singing Aisa Lagta Hai from Refuge with another contestant. Disappointed by her performance, Anu Malik expressed, “Neha Kakkar, teri awaaz sun kar lagta hai main apne munh par maaroon thappad, yaar! kya ho gaya hai tere ko (I feel like slapping myself after hearing you perform. What has happened to you)?” The singer’s performance didn’t appeal to judges and left them questioning her talent.
Neha Kakkar made it to the Indian Idol but couldn’t do her best to reach the finale. However, the singer is widely known for her talent and has a huge number of fans she calls Nehearts.
