Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has been hitting the headlines lately as reports about him secretly tying the knot last year in September with his girlfriend Shwetambari Soni started doing rounds on social media. Speaking to Mid-day Vikram had shared, “It was a private ceremony at my home, with her three sisters and my family in attendance. Even my friends couldn’t come. We had initially thought of having a grand wedding, but the pandemic played spoilsport.”

Talking about how he met his ladylove Vikram Bhatt revealed that they were supposed to work in an exhibition together. However, it didn’t work out but their love story did. “What I love about Shweta is that she is intelligent and more frank than me. She doesn’t belong to the world of films, so I love coming home to someone who has been in a completely different world. I bounce my ideas off her as Shweta is astute with stories. She is honest with her feedback, especially if the story is crap,” he added.

On the other hand, Vikram Bhatt’s daughter Krishna from his ex-wife Aditi Bhatt talked about the filmmaker’s second marriage. She said she was not aware of the secret marriage and found about it much later.

Speaking to India Today, Krishna said, “My parents got divorced 25 years ago. It took a while for me to understand that. I got accustomed to my parents not being together. I grew up and as I started taking on emotionally complicated scripts of my own, I realised that everyone has one life and everyone does what makes them happy. I found out about my dad’s wedding much later. He thought I was a little girl who wouldn’t be able to face this news. I suppose for your parents, you never grow up.”

When asked about how she came to know about the news, and if Vikram revealed it to her, she said, “He broke it to me quite suddenly as is his usual way. But, it is what it is.” Talking about her equation with Shwetambari, Krishna said that she hasn’t interacted with her as she does not stay with her father.
