Hyderabad recently hosted a vibrant pre-release event for Venky Atluri’s upcoming film Lucky Bhaskar, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary. The event, attended by prominent figures in the industry, featured director Trivikram Srinivas and actor Vijay Deverakonda as chief guests. Trivikram took the opportunity to publicly express his admiration for Deverakonda, acknowledging the challenges the actor has faced throughout his career.

Addressing the audience, Trivikram praised Vijay as one of his “favourite actors.” In Telugu, he noted, “I have a few things to say. He’s seen a lot of love. But he has seen double the hate also.” Highlighting the dichotomy of public perception, Trivikram encouraged Vijay, saying, “He saw both love and hate in a short amount of time…but he’s strong. I wish you all the success, since I’m older than you, there’s no harm in me hoping that for you.”

Vijay responded with warmth, embracing Trivikram and sharing his fondness for the director’s films. He expressed, “Our generation knows Manmadhudu, Nuvvu Naaku Nacchavu, Jalsa, and my personal favourites, Athadu and Khaleja. I fight with anyone who tells me they don’t like Khaleja.”

Dulquer Salmaan, who also graced the event, reflected on his camaraderie with Vijay, reminiscing about their past collaboration in the 2018 biopic Mahanati. He stated, “VD is my tammudu, my brother. I don’t know if you’ve realized but you’re my lucky charm in Telugu.” Dulquer highlighted that Vijay played a pivotal role in introducing him to the Telugu audience during the Mahanati event and was present at the music launch for Sita Ramam, further solidifying their bond.

As the excitement for Lucky Bhaskar builds, both Trivikram and Dulquer expressed hopes for the film’s success. Trivikram’s last directorial venture was Guntur Kaaram, released earlier this year to mixed reviews. He is set to collaborate with Allu Arjun in an upcoming project. Meanwhile, Vijay Deverakonda was last seen in The Family Star, which received lukewarm reviews and made a cameo in Kalki 2898 AD. He is poised to star in untitled films directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri and Rahul Sankrithyan.

The event not only celebrated the upcoming film but also highlighted the strong camaraderie and mutual respect among these industry stalwarts.
