Vicky Kaushal has always been open about his journey in the film industry, sharing both his successes and struggles. In a recent interview with Bazaar India, he shared his experiences with anxiety, providing insight and advice for younger creatives grappling with similar feelings. Vicky emphasised that the key to managing anxiety is acknowledgement. He stated, “The best thing to do for anxiety is to acknowledge it. The enemy is indulging in it.”

He recalled a senior actor’s wisdom, suggesting that one should make anxiety a friend rather than an adversary. This approach allows individuals to accept that anxiety will always be a part of their lives but that it’s possible to master it instead of letting it consume them.

Through his challenges, Vicky finds that he feels most fulfilled when he engages in creacreative endeavoursher than succumbing to mental fatigue caused by worry. By focusing on his work and staying creatively stimulated, he is better equipped to navigate the ups and downs of his profession.

In addition to discussing mental health, Vicky also expressed his curiosity about film direction. He finds the various approaches to filmmaking fascinating, although he is unsure about taking that step right now. The prospect of directing intrigues him, and it’s clear he has a passion for exploring different facets of the industry.
