Mika Singh, a popular singer, recently expressed his sorrow over the death of singer Sidhu Moose Wala and asked the state government to take swift action. Mika wrote alongside a photo of himself with the late singer-politician that he has always been a proud Punjabi but now feels ashamed to say it.
“I always say I’m proud to be Punjabi, but today I feel ashamed to be saying the same,” Mika Singh wrote on Instagram shortly after news of Sidhu’s death broke out. A young, talented boy, just 28 years old, so popular and with such a bright future ahead of him, @sidhu_moosewala was killed in Punjab by Punjabis. May God bless his soul and may he rests in eternal peace. My prayers are with his family. Request to #Punjabsarkar please take strong action against these criminals. “Heartbreaking.”
He also posted a video of himself and the late singer. Mika and Sidhu, along with a few others, are seen sitting together in the video, which was apparently shot in a restaurant. Before they sign off, Mika can be seen introducing Sidhu and then presenting him with an award. Mika posted the video and captioned it as:
“Miss you bro @sidhu_moosewala .. You’ve gone way too soon. People will always remember your name, fame, the respect you earned, and all with the rest of your hit records. Sidhu, a Punjabi singer, and a Congress leader, was shot and killed in Mansa, Punjab, late Sunday. According to ANI, the incident occurred a day after Punjab police withdrew his security, as well as the security of 424 others. In a Facebook post, Canadian gangster Goldy Brar allegedly claimed responsibility for the singer’s death. He is a close associate of gang leader Lawrence Bishnoi, who is also suspected of being involved in the singer’s assassination.
