The entire Bachchan family was in attendance for the wedding ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant on Friday evening. The star-studded event saw Bollywood royalty gracing the occasion, with Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan, and their extended family making a glamorous appearance.

In the early hours of Saturday, Amitabh Bachchan shared a contemplative note on his blog, reflecting on themes of ‘lost and forgotten’ memories and the changes in ‘old acquaintances.’

“Back from a glorious wedding and the feel after a very long time of public exposure, the wealth of love and affection that I can think of with so many old acquaintances… they seemed to have changed in their physiognomy, but extremely sincere in their affection towards the association and the love of our times well spent together,” Amitabh wrote.

He continued, “This is what life is all about… the associations and love and care. It is strange how the little things that matter to each other, remain, but those that had a deeper association or a meaningful spent time, are lost and forgotten… well, not forgotten, but kept on the back burner, and remembered or brought out only when there is required meaning of the association.”

On the red carpet, Amitabh posed with his wife, actor Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek Bachchan, and daughter Shweta Bachchan. Shweta’s husband, Nikhil Nanda, and their children, Navya and Agastya, were also present. Abhishek’s wife, Aishwarya Rai, and their daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan, posed separately for the paparazzi.

Ambani Wedding Extravaganza

The Ambani wedding was the culmination of a series of lavish events hosted by the family since March. The pre-wedding festivities began in Gujarat’s Jamnagar, featuring performances by pop diva Rihanna and prominent Bollywood figures.

In June, the celebrations continued with a luxury cruise across Italy and the South of France, with guests enjoying performances by the Backstreet Boys, Pitbull, David Guetta, Katy Perry, and Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli. Last week in Mumbai, Justin Bieber performed at the ‘sangeet’ ceremony.

The celebrations are set to continue with an intimate dinner for exclusive guests on Saturday, followed by a grand reception on July 14.
