In a surprising twist, veteran actor Sunny Deol has claimed that he performed the dance steps from Vicky Kaushal’s latest hit song “Tauba Tauba” almost three decades ago. This revelation has stirred excitement among fans and celebrities alike.
Sunny Deol took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday to share an old video clip from his 1996 film “Ajay,” where he and Karisma Kapoor danced to the song “Chhammak Chhallo.” In a creative edit, the original audio was replaced with the “Tauba Tauba” track, highlighting Sunny’s dance moves that closely resemble Vicky’s current hit steps.
Sunny captioned his post, “When they say you can’t dance, and then you find you did it before anyone else did.” This nostalgic moment was originally posted by a fan with the caption, “Vicky’s gonna have to wait.” The clip featured the words, “Sunny Deol did it before anyone else.”
Filmmaker Karan Johar also joined the fun, re-sharing the clip on his Instagram Stories with the enthusiastic caption, “OMG!!!!!! He did it first!!!! Sunny sir (red heart emojis).”
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal‘s performance in “Tauba Tauba” has been widely praised. Celebrities like Salman Khan and Hrithik Roshan have lauded his dance moves. Salman posted the song’s video on his Instagram, writing, “Great moves, Vicky. Song looking good. Best wishes.” Hrithik Roshan commented on Vicky’s dance video, “Well done, man. Love the style.”
Vicky also performed the dance live at the sangeet ceremony of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant, alongside Shehnaaz Gill, further boosting the song’s popularity.
“Tauba Tauba” is part of Vicky’s upcoming film “Bad Newz,” directed by Anand Tiwari. The film, also starring Tripti Dimri and Ammy Virk, promises a fresh take on comedy-drama, exploring the complexities of heteropaternal superfecundation amidst humor and chaos. “Bad Newz” is considered a successor to the 2019 hit “Good Newwz,” which featured Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh.
