In a conversation with Lily Singh, Sidharth Malhotra shared how the film played a significant role in his life. He revealed that he first met his now-wife, Kiara, on set shortly after her much-talked-about orgasm scene. Recalling the moment, Sidharth mentioned that he had been visiting Karan Johar when he happened to meet Kiara right after the shoot. He was quoted as saying:

“That’s (Lust Stories) the reason I met her. I’m very grateful for that short film to be made, because I met her when they stopped… I was on set. I did go to meet Karan (Johar) at that set, and we (Sidharth and Kiara) met, and we met right after that.”

In the same conversation, he admitted that he hadn’t intended to be there for that but had heard the narration from Karan. Sidharth went on to describe Kiara’s choices as bold, praising her ability to take on such roles. He also noted that while some scenes might come across as humorous, at certain moments, the emotions were truly heartfelt. He stated: 

“I didn’t want to be there for that, but I knew what she was up to because I’d heard the story from Karan before, but again, it was the intent; the hearts were in the right place. The presentation of it is funny because it sometimes is, and it’s a director’s take, but I think the heart was in the right place. Kudos to her to come into that… I think she was very bold in her choices.”

The actor also spoke about his marriage with Kiara Advani, sharing that it has been an eye-opening experience for him. He described Kiara as a great influence in his life, highlighting her strong family values. Sidharth further expressed his deep respect for her, attributing it to her unwavering ethics and morals. He stated:

“I mean marriage also, for me, in recent years, which has really opened up my eyes. All these years of being by myself in Bombay and then having her have been a great influence on my outlook on life, work, and family. She’s very family-oriented, and her ethics and morals are in the right place, which I respect and admire.”
