Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor, currently riding high on the success of her latest film Stree 2, recently opened up about her career choices and the reasons behind not working with the Khans—Shah Rukh, Salman, or Aamir. During a podcast with journalist Shubhankar Mishra, Kapoor revealed that while she had received offers to star alongside these iconic actors, she declined them for various reasons.

“Many times, you are offered a film, but if you feel the character isn’t exciting enough or the role doesn’t challenge the artist in you, then you let go of that role,” Kapoor explained. “I’m very clear about the kind of work that I choose.”

The Stree star elaborated on her approach to selecting projects, emphasising the importance of quality storytelling and collaboration with talented directors. “I want to be part of good films, engaging films with good stories, work with good directors, and do good work,” Kapoor said. “If the by-product of all this is the opportunity to work with good actors or huge stars, I’m happy to say yes to it.”

Meanwhile, Kapoor’s latest release, Stree 2, has become a box office juggernaut. Directed by Amar Kaushik, the film grossed an estimated ₹255.35 crore in India during its first six days. On its seventh day, the horror-comedy added another ₹20 crore, bringing its total collection to an impressive ₹275.35 crore within one week, according to Sacnilk. The film also maintained a solid 30.45% occupancy in Hindi-speaking regions on Wednesday.

Stree 2, headlined by Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is a sequel to the 2018 hit Stree and is part of Dinesh Vijan’s expanding horror-comedy universe, which includes films like Roohi, Bhediya, and Munjya. Released on August 15, the film faced stiff competition from Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein and John Abraham’s Vedaa, but has outpaced its rivals at the box office. In the sequel, Rao and Kapoor continue the eerie saga of Chanderi, now threatened by the malevolent force known as Sarkata.
