Now Shoaib revealed why they didn’t release a statement yet. For a long time, reports were abuzz that the couple is facing some issues in their happy paradise and they are allegedly divorced. While there has been an unending buzz on the internet regarding Sania and Shoaib’s separation, no official confirmation has been made on the same by either of them.
Shoaib Malik breaks silence on his divorce reports with Sania Mirza
Rumours of Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza heading towards divorce have once again gone viral on social media after the couple did not spend Eid together. Now, Pakistan’s star cricketer finally opened up on the ongoing rumours about his divorce from his wife, Sania Mirza and rubbished all the speculation about him and Sania splitting up. He even asked the gossip mongers to show him a couple who don’t have arguments in real life.
In an interview with Geo News Programme, Score, Shoaib Malik was asked about the rumours going around that all’s not well in his and Sania Mirza’s relationship. Responding to the same, Shoaib said that he wanted to spend time with Sania on Eid, but they could not do that because of their respective professional commitments. Shoaib added that Sania is busy in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) and he misses her a lot. He was heard saying: “Nothing on it. On Eid I would like to say that had we been together it would have been great. But she has got commitments in the IPL. She is doing shows in the IPL. That’s why we are not together. We share love like always. I miss her a lot, that I can say.”
Further in the interview, Shoaib Malik shared how he missed Sania Mirza, especially on Eid, but he couldn’t spend time with her. Recently, Sania travelled to Medina with her family ahead of Ramadan to offer prayers and seek blessings from the Almighty, but Shoaib didn’t accompany her. Talking about the reason behind the same, Malik said: “There are professional commitments. But Eid is a day when you miss a lot of the people who are close to you. When Sania and Izhan went to perform Umrah I had commitments here, and when I took a break and went to Dubai to spend time with Izhan, she had commitments in the IPL.”
On not giving a statement earlier on the ongoing rumours about their divorce, Shoaib mentioned that they don’t pay much attention to the news about them. However, he asked their fans to understand that he and Sania belong to different countries and have separate professional commitments. He said: “Everybody needs to understand we belong to different countries and have our own commitments. This is why neither I released a statement nor did she.”
