Shanaya Kapoor Looses Calm At Ambani Wedding, Argues With Security; Internet Asks Her To ‘Chill’
Amid the opulence of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s star-studded wedding, a video of Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor of “Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives” fame, has gone viral. The footage captures Shanaya in a heated argument with a security guard at the wedding venue, reportedly over a bag check.
The incident was shared by a TikTok user present at the wedding, who claimed that 24-year-old Shanaya clashed with the guards because they insisted on checking her bag. In the video, Shanaya, dressed in an ivory kurta set, is visibly upset as she argues with the security personnel. The video, which has also been circulated on Reddit, has garnered numerous comments, many of which criticize Shanaya’s behaviour.
One Reddit user commented, “Shanaya Kapoor—0% movie, 100% attitude,” while another remarked, “Behen Tera toh career bhi nahin hai. You should be thankful that at least these hardworking security guys are giving you some attention.” Other users labelled her a “brat” and advised her to “chill” since she has yet to debut in films.
Shanaya was a prominent guest at the wedding, attending almost all the pre- and post-wedding celebrations. She participated in the pre-wedding bash in Jamnagar, a luxury cruise party in Europe, and the wedding rituals held in July.
Shanaya Kapoor, the niece of Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor and producer Boney Kapoor, is cousins with Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, and Arjun Kapoor. She was slated to make her Bollywood debut in Karan Johar’s production “Bedhadak,” alongside Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada. The film was announced in 2022, but there have been no updates on its release since.
Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant tied the knot on July 12, following a series of grand pre-wedding events. The couple hosted an Aashirwad ceremony on Saturday and a lavish wedding reception on Sunday, attended by numerous celebrities and notable figures from various industries.
The viral video of Shanaya’s confrontation has sparked discussions online, with many questioning the young starlet’s attitude and approach towards the security personnel.
