Actor Shamita Shetty has voiced her frustration with Indigo Airlines after they offloaded her luggage without prior notice during her flight from Jaipur to Chandigarh. In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), Shamita explained that she was travelling for an event when she and her hairdresser’s bags were removed due to weight restrictions.
In the video, she expressed her discontent, stating, “I’m stuck at the Chandigarh airport. My bags were offloaded without informing me. I have come here for an event. Am I not supposed to be informed before something like this is done?” She criticised Indigo for their lack of communication, noting that she was expected to wait until the next flight, which wouldn’t arrive until after her event concluded.
Shamita further slammed the airline’s ground staff, saying, “They don’t know how to help us.” She added a strong critique in her post, stating, “Pardon my French but Indigo airline, you’re a pretty s*** airline to fly on! And the ground staff is totally useless! Think twice before flying on this airline! @IndiGo6E #indigo a total no no!”

Indigo Airlines responded to her tweet, “Ms Shetty, we apologize for the inconvenience caused and would like to address the matter. We tried to contact you on the registered number, but the calls went unanswered. Could you please DM us an alternate contact number and a convenient time for us to reach out. ~Team IndiGo.”
In her reply, Shamita reinforced her stance, emphasizing, “U CANNOT OFFLOAD A BAG WITHOUT SPEAKING WITH THE PASSENGER! It’s just plain wrong! We pay for our tickets ul r not flying us for free its wrong what you did not just to me but 8 other ppl! Clearly ul don’t feel ul are answerable for your actions ..to anyone !!”
