Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan was spotted at the Mumbai airport early Thursday morning as he made his way to Abu Dhabi for the International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA). Videos and photos of the actor’s arrival quickly surfaced on social media, sparking excitement among fans.

In one widely shared video, Shah Rukh was seen exiting his car, surrounded by bodyguards and security personnel. Despite the tight security, fans could be heard shouting his name, with one particularly enthusiastic fan rushing toward him. The fan’s sudden approach caused a brief commotion, and Shah Rukh momentarily lost his balance, hopping to one side. However, the actor maintained his composure, calmly waving to the crowd before entering the airport.

For his journey, Shah Rukh opted for a casual yet stylish look, sporting a black sweatshirt, matching pants, and shoes. He completed his airport ensemble with a cap and dark sunglasses.


The incident quickly garnered attention online, with fans reacting to both the chaotic scene and Shah Rukh’s cool demeanor. One fan tweeted, “The real star of the Indian film industry.” Another wrote, “The way some fans are screaming, it sounds scary.” Concerns over security were also raised, with one user commenting, “The girl pushed his team and tried to reach him… the security should be stronger.” Despite the near mishap, Shah Rukh’s calm handling of the situation earned him praise, with a fan noting, “SRK is SRK. How he kept his calm. But this isn’t done.”

Shah Rukh is set to play a key role at the upcoming IIFA Awards, which will be held from September 27 to 29. The event will kick off with IIFA Utsavam, dedicated to celebrating the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada film industries. Notably, Megastar Chiranjeevi will be honored during the festivities.

 

The second day of IIFA will see Shah Rukh Khan, alongside Vicky Kaushal and Karan Johar, hosting the prestigious awards night. Rekha will also make a much-anticipated return to the IIFA stage, while Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday, and Janhvi Kapoor are set to perform.

Fans can next catch Shah Rukh in King, directed by Sujoy Ghosh. Additionally, he will lend his voice to the Hindi version of Disney’s Mufasa: The Lion King, releasing in December.
