‘Scarred But Not Scared’: Hina Khan Shares Update On Her Stage-3 Cancer Journey
Just days after disclosing her battle with stage 3 breast cancer, television actor Hina Khan reached out to her followers with a heartfelt message dedicated to “all the courageous women and men who are fighting” the disease.
Using her Instagram Stories as a platform, Hina expressed her hope that her journey might inspire and motivate others facing similar struggles.
In her message, Hina wrote, “A window to my journey… This is to all those courageous women and men who are fighting this tough battle… I wish my journey can be courageous and motivating enough for people out there to turn a page in their own stories for good. And remember, we may be SCARRED but we MUST not be SCARED.” She accompanied her post with the song “Bandeya Rey Bandeya,” sung by Arijit Singh and Asees Kaur.
Gratitude for Support
In response to the outpouring of support from fans and fellow celebrities, Hina reassured her supporters with a hopeful message. She posted on her Instagram Stories, “This too shall pass,” adding a smile and heart emoji to convey her gratitude for the love and encouragement she has received.
Hina Khan, known for her roles in popular TV shows such as “Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai” and “Kasautii Zindagii Kay,” revealed her diagnosis last Friday. She shared that she has begun treatment and is committed to overcoming the disease. In a detailed statement on Instagram, Hina addressed her fans and followers, affectionately known as “Hinaholics,” stating:
“Hello Everyone, To address the recent rumour, I want to share some important news with all the Hinaholics and everyone who loves and cares for me. I have been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Despite this challenging diagnosis, I wish to reassure everyone that I am doing well. I am strong, determined, and fully committed to overcoming this disease. My treatment has already begun, and I am ready to do everything necessary to emerge from this even stronger.”
She also requested privacy during this challenging time and thanked everyone for their love, strength, and blessings. Hina encouraged her followers to share their personal experiences and supportive suggestions, emphasising the importance of their support in her journey.
“With the grace of the almighty, we believe I will overcome this challenge and will be completely healthy. Please send your prayers, blessings, and love,” she concluded.
