Bigg Boss 14 winner and popular television actress Rubina Dilaik recently shared insights into how her career has shifted since becoming a mother. In a candid discussion, she revealed that she is now being approached for roles typically characterised as “bhabhi” (sister-in-law) following the birth of her two daughters, Edhaa and Jeeva.
During her latest podcast episode, Rubina and her guest, actor and close friend Sharad Kelkar, explored the issue of typecasting in the entertainment industry. While Sharad complimented Rubina for quickly getting back into shape after motherhood, Rubina humorously responded, “Well, now I’m being offered roles as a bhabhi (sister-in-law).”

Rubina recently celebrated Ganpati at home, while her husband, Abhinav Shukla, and their daughters were in their hometown. Although she deeply missed her family, Rubina performed the Ganpati puja with devotion. She shared the experience in a recent vlog, explaining how she kept the idol for a day and a half before the visarjan, and how much she longed for her family’s presence during the celebrations. After the festival, Rubina quickly reunited with her husband and children in their hometown, enjoying some much-needed family time.
