Bollywood stars Rani Mukherji and Shah Rukh Khan wore matching black costumes to the Kolkata International Film Festival last year. Actress Rani Mukherji, who collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan in the blockbusters Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, Chalte Chalte, and Paheli, spoke once more about the experience. She expressed her desire to romance him in movies up until their old age.
Recently, Rani Mukerji appeared in Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway, which earned overwhelmingly positive reviews from both fans and celebrities. Shah Rukh joined them and complimented Rani on her performance, referring to her as a “queen.” He tweeted: “What a tremendous effort by the whole team of Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. My Rani shines in the central role as only a Queen can. Director Ashima, shows a human struggle with such sensitivity.”
In response to the same post, Rani was questioned by India Today about working again with Shah Rukh on a film. She responded by saying, “Please have your writers write a wonderful, mature love story with SRK. I have always said that I love romancing SRK and I would continue wanting to romance him till we both are old, till I am 80 and he is 95 years old. I will continue.”
Rani and Shah Rukh wore identical black clothes as they attended the Kolkata International Film Festival together the year before. She arrived in a black sari with a cream border, while he was dressed in a black tux. Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan also attended the ceremony. Mahesh Bhatt, the director, was also present.
In various films, Shah Rukh and Rani Mukerji co-starred. Their notable collaborations include, among others, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), Paheli (2005), Veer Zaara (2004), and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006). Pathaan, which was out on January 25, was Shah Rukh’s most recent film. Dunki will appear after him when he is next seen in Jawan. Rani is throwing a success party for the movie Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway in Mumbai as she enjoys the success of Mrs. Chatterjee Vs. Norway. It will be intriguing to find out if Shah Rukh will be there.
