Ranbir Kapoor has recently made waves for choosing to take paternity leave upon the birth of his hypothetical child. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, a famous Bollywood couple, are about to embark on a new phase of their lives: fatherhood. The Kapoor-Bhatt family is counting down the days till they can have the newborn in their arms, while Alia and Ranbir’s fans are thrilled to see them as parents.
According to a Bollywood Hungama story, Ranbir Kapoor will soon take a sabbatical from acting and become a stay-at-home dad following the birth of his and Alia’s child. He is willing to take paternity leave while Alia joins the film industry as soon as she recovers because he doesn’t want his wife to forsake her goals. The report went on to say that Ranbir will take some time off work to spend time with his children since he wants them to feel a strong connection to him.
The rumours that Ranbir Kapoor was taking a paternity leave quickly went over the internet like wildfire. A number of online users praised the actor for his choice, while others criticised him. They bombarded social media to mock the star for choosing to be a stay-at-home dad. According to one user, “Arey waah kya baat hai…. ab bacha ye sambhal lega or Alia madam kaam ko jayegi”, another one penned, “To be honest Ranbir Kapoor is not as passionate as aliabhatt and ranveer singh, he has become dull, less focused.” Check out the reactions below:
Alia Bhatt talked openly about embracing parenthood for the first time during a conversation at the Forbes India Tycoon of Tomorrow event. Alia added that Ranbir is really delighted to share the responsibilities when she spoke about his anticipation for the baby’s birth. She stated that her adoring husband wanted her to return to work as soon as she had birth since he didn’t want her followers to voice their displeasure. When considering the same, the expecting mother had said:
“And Ranbir is very happy, he has already been like ‘baby you work from this month onwards, I will take time off so you can go to work. I can come back and then you can take time off then we just keep taking time off.’ He is very happy to share that responsibility. And he in fact recently said in an interview that ‘I think I have this very big responsibility on my head and that is to send Alia back to work because the fans would really complain and hold me responsible if I don’t do my bit as a parent as well.”
On the professional front, Alia and Ranbir were last seen together in the film, Brahmastra.
