Priyanka Chopra always creates a buzz with every revelation she makes about her journey in Bollywood. Recently she opened up about her nose job which went completely wrong. Priyanka Chopra discussed how a failed nose surgery sent her into a “deep depression” and made her believe that her career could be over.

After Priyanka Chopra became Miss World in the year 2000 she decided to get the operation done. When Priyanka was questioned about the failed operation in a recent interview, she described it as a “dark phase.”

Shortly after winning Miss World more than 20 years ago, Priyanka visited a doctor because she was having respiratory difficulties and had a “lingering head cold.” She said that the doctor had found a polyp in her nasal cavity and had advised having it surgically removed.

According to the actor, a doctor mistakenly shaved her nose, causing the bridge to collapse and change the actor’s image, leading to her termination from three films. She feared that her acting career was already over.

Priyanka also talked about how her late father Ashok Chopra, an Indian Army doctor, had persuaded her to get corrective surgery in spite of her reservations. Her acting career was gone before it ever began since she was sacked from three separate films after the incident. On the Howard Stern Show and in her memoir, Priyanka has extensively talked about her dark phase. On the show she said that her nose surgery went bad and changed her entire face and she went into a deep depression and sadness.” I was afraid of it, but he (her dad) was like, ‘I will be in the room with you,” she said.
