The couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have entered into the parenthood journey with the welcome of their baby girl. Recently, their daughter’s unique name was revealed. The actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas had tied the knot with Nick Jonas in December 2018. After 3 years of marital life, finally, the lovebirds Priyanka and Nick had entered into the parenthood journey as they had welcomed a baby girl into their lives through surrogacy.

They have been keeping their parenthood life hush-hush, keeping their privacy. According to a recent report, the baby girl’s name has been unveiled. According to a report by TMZ, the couple Nick and Priyanka have named their daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas. The report expressed her birth certificate, which showed that Priyanka and Nick had embraced parenthood with the arrival of their first child on January 15, 2022.

Priyanka and Nick’s baby girl’s name is an amalgamation which is very meaningful. ‘Malti’ has a Sanskrit origin and means small fragrant flower or moonlight. Also, Marie comes from Latin, which defines the star of the sea. It also has a biblical term to it as it’s the French version of Mary, which means mother of Jesus.

On January 22, 2022, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had confirmed the arrival of their first child and had requested their friends, fans, and family to give them privacy. The couple had shared a picture message on their Instagram handles respectively that could be read as: “We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much.”

Recently, in a conversation with the comedian and YouTuber, Lilly Singh, Priyanka Chopra had unveiled about raising a child. She had mentioned that she doesn’t want to impose her desires and fears on her child as she grows up. Speaking about the same, the new mommy had stated:

“As a new parent right now, I keep thinking that I will never be imposing my desires, fears, and upbringing on my child. I have always believed that children come through you not from you. There is no belief like this is my child and I will shape everything. They come through you to find and build their own life. Recognising that really helped me, my parents were very non-judgemental in a certain way.”

We are eagerly waiting to see a glimpse of the baby!
